2015 Line-up announced

We are delighted to announce the first part of our line-up for August 2015.

As expected the quality and variety of artists from the folk world and beyond puts the festival, now in its third year at Glemham Hall, at the very top of its tree. A huge thank you to everyone who has agreed to come and play! We can’t wait …

Amongst those performing over the three days will be The Unthanks with their eclectic approach of combining traditional English folk with other musical genres, Canadian folk band Ten Strings and a Goat Skin, from the Western Isles the high-energy band The Peatbog Faeries, the incomparable pairing of Chris Wood with Andy Cutting, Martin Carthy, Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker, The Wilson Family, Leveret (who played the FolkEast piggery last year), Gigspanner, and John Spiers in his own right. FolkEast patrons, The Young’uns will be there to oversee the weekends proceedings while Jim Moray and Sam Carter’s folk rock band False Lights make a welcome return a year after their headline debut at FolkEast 2014.

The popular Get on The Soapbox Stage will showcase the best in Spoken Word and fresh local talent while Broad Roots will host ceilidhs and folk club sessions alongside the best folk artists, regional and national.

We will continue to add more artists over the coming months but in the meantime have a look at the Line Up so far to enjoy a little taster  …
