“Spellbinding” ~ Folk Radio UK

Delighted to join FolkEast’s 10th anniversary celebrations, the Broads are back at Glemham Hall to share tales of love, loss, mischief and folk justice from their recent album Yonder Green Grove. The Norfolk Broads are a close vocal quartet, singing traditional songs that celebrate the power of female storytelling through song. The Broads shared love of singing together brings a powerful energy to every performance, where distinctive harmonies and bold performance are used to explore and redefine old songs, fuelling new takes on the lives of women both past and present.

Since the release of their first album ‘In the Valley of Flowers’ in 2017, the Broads have performed their repertoire of traditional songs and spirited harmonies to sell-out audiences across the UK and further afield, and have performed in the United States, France, the Netherlands and Ireland. Recently returning to live gigs after the pandemic, the Norfolk Broads look forward to sharing songs from their well received 2021 album ‘Yonder Green Grove’, recorded at Slow Worm Records, as well as old favourites.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”21104″ img_size=”Full” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]
